Quality trees should have all of the following characteristics : They will be free from disease and pests, show little to no signs of damage, have been grown and pruned using proper techniques, have appropriate root and branching structure for their species, display vigorous growth of shoots and leaves, and be of the appropriate size for their intended use.
For those who are new to procurement, it might seem that there isn’t much difference between trees, or between nurseries. Though it may seem this way, nothing could be further from the truth. Even the best nurseries with reputable staff will have trees that are unfit for planting, and only through experience and training can one spot the difference between an acceptable specimen, and one that must be passed over.
With our extensive experience in planting comes extensive knowledge and experience in procurement. Our staff has contacts with nurseries throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York (including all of Long Island). No species is too rare, no amount of trees too large for us to find you the perfect specimen at an unbeatable price.
